About the Role

This position requires a dynamic and enthusiastic psychologist who can provide comprehensive mental health assessments and effective interventions for children and young people experiencing complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will be a valuable member of our multi-disciplinary team working with children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement locally developed services and care pathways that make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals both within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bay and in the community.
  • Provide shorter-term, referral-reason-focused interventions.
Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • NZ Registered Psychologist status.
  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
