Job Summary

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Diversional Therapist to join our team at Heretaunga in Upper Hutt. In this role, you'll lead our activities programme, ensuring it's engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activity programmes that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical exercise
  • Collaborate with the care team to understand individual resident needs and preferences
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback
  • Contribute to the overall success of our village by promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Diversional Therapy or a related field (e.g., Health of Elders)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full NZ Driver's licence
