Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

About the Team

Our team at Te Whare Manaakitanga Special Treatment Unit (TWM) is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to men with serious violent offending. We are a values-driven organisation, committed to improving the oranga and safety of people, whanau, and communities across New Zealand.

As a Programme Facilitator, you will be part of a close-knit team that works collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, and we are seeking experienced Programme Facilitators or Group Therapists to join us.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain meaningful therapeutic alliances with men who have been entrenched in the criminal/gang world. You will be required to recruit, assess, and develop individualised treatment plans for 10 men, working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

The annual workload involves co-facilitating an eight-month cognitive-behavioural group treatment programme, followed by specialist measures to capture treatment progress. You will also design and deliver complementary individual sessions as needed and take an active role in the running of the therapeutic community.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support, and who are committed to our mission and values-driven organisation.
