About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Refugee Services team in Wellington. The successful candidate will provide direct clinical support to former refugees, including conducting assessments, offering counseling and therapy, and making referrals to specialist health services.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of refugee settlement, trauma, grief, loss, and mental health disorders, as well as relevant qualifications and registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. You will also have expertise in therapeutic models for trauma and grief, with the ability to work with interpreters and provide family interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide counseling and therapy to former refugees
  • Make referrals to specialist health services
  • Work with interpreters and provide family interventions
  • Advocate for clients' access to services

Requirements:
