Job Description

The Department of Corrections NZ seeks a highly skilled Probation Officer to join our team. As a Probation Officer, you will work with individuals who require supervision and support to reintegrate into society.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing community-based sentences and orders, preparing reports for the Courts and New Zealand Parole Board, and contributing to public safety.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, be able to think critically, and remain positive and resilient in challenging situations. Experience working with large caseloads is highly advantageous.

We offer a competitive salary range of $64,359 - $81,909, reflecting skills and experience relevant to the role. Appointment and remuneration will be based on individual merit.
