The Waikato Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for trauma nursing to join their Trauma Nursing Team. This permanent part-time 0.7 FTE position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing specialist nursing care and expertise to patients admitted to the trauma service.
About the Role
As a successful Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in facilitating the patient and whanau journey. Your responsibilities will include providing specialist nursing care, facilitating multidisciplinary team meetings, participating in audits and research, and providing clinical expertise/education to nurses across Waikato hospital.
Requirements
- A proficient or expert Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' experience ideally in Critical care, Emergency Nursing or Surgical nursing speciality.
- A current practicing certificate.
- Post graduate qualification or working towards.
- A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and agility.
- Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
