Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Strategist to join our dynamic team at Westcon-Comstor. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our most successful and largest customers.

You will work closely with our vendors to develop and execute customer account plans, pipeline management, and sales forecasting. Your expertise in identifying and creating opportunities through both vendors and internal Business Development Managers (BDMs) will be crucial in achieving company-defined revenue and gross margin profit targets.

  • National account lead
  • Set strategic direction for key accounts
  • Develop and execute customer account plans, pipeline management, and sales forecasting
  • Lead a virtual team to deliver strategy into the regions
  • Identify and create opportunities through both vendors and internal BDM's
  • Achieve company-defined revenue and gross margin profit targets
Requirements
  • 5+ years' sales and account management experience, with proven success
  • Experience in the technology sector (IT sales experience) and the industry
  • Significant contacts in the technology sector in the NZ market

Your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build strong trusted relationships quickly and effectively will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You must have strong prospecting skills to identify new opportunities and solution selling, as well as a high level of professionalism and ability to confidently communicate with senior-level customers.
