About the Role

This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work as an Emergency Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician in Hauraki, supporting our team with a relief EMA roster and 4 x 4 DDNN shift pattern.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the ambulance and assisting with patient care under supervision
  • Ensuring the operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
  • Completing relevant administrative tasks
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current St John Authority to Practice (ATP) at First Responder or EMT level
  • An excellent driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure as part of a team
  • New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa
  • Demonstrated behaviors that align with Hato Hone St John's core values: Doing the right thing, Side by Side, Straight Up, Making it better, and Open Minds
