Volunteer Emergency Services Representative

Hato Hone St John is a well-established organization dedicated to providing emergency services and community support across New Zealand. As an Ambulance & Events Volunteer, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care to patients at various events and on ambulances.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour duties will include providing emergency care and support to patients, working collaboratively with other team members, and participating in ongoing training and education programs. You will also have opportunities to work at local and international events, such as sports events and school fairs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, be compassionate and professional in your approach, and be committed to continuous learning and development. You should also have a clean full driver's license and meet our medical standards.
We offer comprehensive training and support to ensure you are equipped to perform your duties effectively. Once accepted, you will participate in online and classroom training, which will take around 6-9 months to complete. Assessment centers will be held periodically, and you must be available for regular duty and training.
Requirements- Full and clean NZ driver's license for at least 12 months or completion of an approved NZTA advanced driving course
- Age 18 years or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- Clean police record
- Ability to pass Hato Hone St John assessments
- Meet our Medical Standards
- Availability for regular duty and training
Please note that travel from home location to Waikato/Coromandel stations will be taken into consideration. If you do not live locally, you must commit to volunteering in Central West.
