As a Volunteer for Ambulance & Events, you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers exceptional patient care and support at community events and on ambulances. Your role will involve working closely with other team members to provide emergency care and assistance to patients.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to patients, adhering to our organizational standards and protocols. To excel in this position, you must demonstrate excellent communication skills, be empathetic and compassionate, and be committed to ongoing learning and development.

We provide comprehensive training and support to ensure you are equipped to perform your duties effectively. Our training program includes online and classroom components, which will take approximately 6-9 months to complete. Assessment centers will be scheduled periodically, and you must be available for regular duty and training.

Key Requirements
  • Full and clean NZ driver's license for at least 12 months or completion of an approved NZTA advanced driving course
  • Age 18 years or over
  • New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
  • Clean police record
  • Ability to pass Hato Hone St John assessments
  • Meet our Medical Standards
  • Availability for regular duty and training

Please note that travel from home location to Waikato/Coromandel stations will be considered. If you do not live locally, you must commit to volunteering in Central West.
