As a key member of our Mental Health team, you will work closely with the Intervention and Support Practice team to deliver top-tier mental health support and treatment to vulnerable individuals in our care.

Your role will involve providing culturally sensitive support services aimed at enhancing the mental health and well-being of our clients. This will include assessing their holistic needs, considering their whakapapa, hinengaro, wairua, and overall well-being. You will also be responsible for managing caseloads effectively, conducting cultural triage, assessments, and implementing evidence-informed treatments in alignment with mana whenua best practices.

About the Team

Hokitia is a collection of mental health and addiction services designed to address the over-representation of prisoners with mental health and addictions issues in the Waikato region. Our goal is to provide multi-treatment mental health and addiction services within the prison environment, promoting holistic wellness and reducing reoffending. As a Kairuruku Hinengaro, you will play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
