\Job Overview
\We are seeking an experienced Strategic Engagement and Communications Lead to join our communications team in Te Awamutu or Cambridge office (part-time). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining open lines of communication, engaging the community on key council activities and projects, and developing innovative strategies to reach a wider audience.
\Key Responsibilities
\- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to engage the community and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and strategic alignment.
- Utilize social media platforms effectively to achieve organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for stakeholder engagement and develop targeted outreach initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the success of communication efforts.
Requirements
\To succeed in this role, you will require:
\- A proven track record in a similar communications position with five or more years of experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail.
