LOOKING FOR A SUPERSTAR
We're looking for an experienced (five or more years) communication and engagement superstar to join our fun-loving (and hard-working) communications team.
This is a full-time position based in Te Awamutu But there is flexibility to work part of your week from the Cambridge office or possibly from home.
You'll be responsible for keeping the community informed and engaged on key council activities and projects, with your own portfolio and space to make this job your own.
You'll need... A successful and proven track record in a similar communications role Demonstrated ability to absolutely nail great communications and engagement initiatives in a pragmatic and timely way Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability and personality to develop strong relationships with people internally and externally A fantastic team attitude and a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up' to get the job done Well-developed organisational and planning skills Attention to detail (This is a must)
Experience and confidence in using new media technologies and social media to achieve objectives Out-of-the-box thinking on how best to engage and involve our community in what we do A 'can-do' attitude and strong customer service philosophy Ideally, experience in local government We need someone with demonstrable and proven communications experience, outstanding people skills, a bright, positive attitude and amazing time management.
