Historic Claims Resolution Specialist

As a Historic Claims Resolution Specialist, you will make a significant impact in supporting claimants who have been unjustly treated in State care. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality customer-centric service, ensuring that claimants encounter mana manaaki (a positive experience) whenever they interact with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support to claimants throughout the Historic Claims process
- Confirm eligibility and register claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete
- Offer support to claimants by listening to their experiences in care, addressing any questions or concerns they may have, and providing them with the necessary assistance during the claims process
Requirements
- High level of political sensitivity and effective communication skills
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to engage with professional skills while maintaining boundaries
- Experience working with individuals affected by multiple issues, including domestic violence and child abuse
- Sound understanding of the needs of people who were harmed as a result of trauma
- Ability to work flexibly and resiliently, coping under pressure
