We have two exciting opportunities for Senior Project Managers to join our team. One role will focus on 5 waters management and road infrastructure, while the other will concentrate on Council reserves, buildings, and land development projects.

Job Description

This is a key leadership position within the Capital Works team, responsible for leading the development and management of infrastructure and property projects. The successful candidate will have significant experience with commercial management, programme management, construction, and risk management. You will be a strong leader who can motivate team members to achieve the goals and objectives of the Capital Works Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Provide leadership by motivating team members to achieve the goals and objectives of the Capital Works Team
  • Identify development needs of the Capital Works Team to foster growth, delivery, and build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures and industry standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience working in a Project Management role, working on infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects and achieving financial targets
  • Significant experience with commercial management, programme management, construction management, risk management, tendering, contract, quality & design management processes
  • Good understanding of the Public Sector environment and demonstrated understanding of policy and regulatory processes, including Local Government decision-making and operating procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
