The Role

The Lead Housing Administrator will be responsible for leading the administration team, ensuring seamless administrative support and enabling the housing operations team to focus on working directly with whanau in need. As an experienced administrator, you will have great attention to detail and understand how to manage confidential information appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the administration team, guiding and supporting team members to achieve their full potential
  • Liaising between the team and management to facilitate open communication and continuous improvement
  • Managing tenancy administration, including invoicing, repairs and maintenance, record keeping, and tracking payments from tenants
  • Reconciling credit cards and performing general administrative tasks, such as event coordination, travel planning, correspondence, reporting, and responding to queries
  • Assisting with onboarding new staff, collaborating with the recruitment team

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will require an undergraduate certificate or diploma level qualification and relevant work-related experience. Previous supervisory and administration/coordination experience is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
