Human Resources Generalist

At Pacific Architecture Limited, we are a creative and collaborative team with a diverse portfolio of work across New Zealand. Our vibrant Wellington practice is home to around 85 people who strive to support each other and offer many benefits to help our staff thrive personally and professionally.
We are looking for a driven and organised individual with 2+ years professional experience to assist our People Team in a full-time permanent role. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain experience working in a supportive practice environment with a focus on professional development coaching and mentoring.
This role will provide valuable experience working across the Human Resources spectrum, including recruitment, professional development, employment relations, training and development, and more. You will be responsible for dealing with confidential information, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating professionalism in your work.
The ideal candidate will possess great interpersonal and communication skills, organisational skills, analytical and literacy abilities, and the ability to work under pressure. A helpful and positive nature, along with a proactive approach to work, is essential for this role.
We value employees who can self-manage their work, multitask efficiently, and execute tasks promptly. This position requires strong analytical and literacy abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the People Team in managing HR-related tasks, including recruitment, professional development, and employment relations
- Deal with confidential information, maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating professionalism in all interactions
- Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring up-to-date and compliant documentation
- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement
