Holistic Care Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Worker / Activities Coordinator to join our team at Totara Trust Horowhenua.
This is a Monday to Thursday, 8 AM – 4 PM (32 hours minimum per week) shift available, where you will be responsible for supporting individuals in growing their independence, learning daily living skills, and participating in meaningful activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individuals with daily activities such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and administering medication.
- Assisting with personal care, including hair removal, skin care, manicures, and pedicures.
- Helping individuals engage in their interests and hobbies (e.g., art, crafts, sports, beach outings).
- Providing massage and pressure point therapy for relaxation and well-being.
- Conducting skin analysis to identify pigment changes, moles, and imperfections, promoting overall skin health.
- Supporting individuals to plan and achieve personal goals while making decisions and choices.
- Encouraging social connections, fostering relationships, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- Assisting with home management tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or complex needs (preferred but not essential).
A full NZ driver's licence (preferred), with the ability to drive automatic and manual vehicles.
Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in health and skincare therapy, caregiving, and self-care.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
