About the Role

The Conservator, Centenary Project is a key position within our organization, focusing on the preservation and conservation of our cultural heritage.

This role requires a high level of expertise in conservation practices, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing a conservation plan for the relocation and display of museum artifacts.
  2. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the successful execution of the relocation project.
  3. Conducting thorough condition assessments of artifacts to inform conservation decisions.
  4. Applying conservation techniques to stabilize and preserve artifacts for long-term retention.
  5. Maintaining accurate records of conservation treatments and object movement.
  6. Providing guidance and training to staff on proper handling and packing procedures.
