Job Description:

This is a part-time leadership role with the understanding that the successful applicant will work between 0.3-0.5 FTE clinically in one of the services.

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership to the Adult Community Mental Health Services group.

The Medical Lead works in collaboration with the Service Clinical Directors of the Adult Community Mental health services and the Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership.

They ensure the medical care provided to the Tangata Whaiora of Te Toka Tumai is of a high standard.

  • Provide strategic, professional, and clinical leadership within the Adult Community Mental Health services.
  • Contribute to the strategic workplan of the medical workforce within adult mental health services.
  • Participate in directorate-wide leadership activities as part of the senior leadership group of Kāhui O te ihi.
