Job Overview
The Auckland District Health Board is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to fill the position of Medical Lead for Adult Community Mental Health Services. This role involves providing medical leadership to the Te Toka Tumai Adult Community Mental Health Services group; Manawanui Oranga Hinengaro and Lotofale.
About the Role
- Collaborate with Service Clinical Directors to provide strategic leadership to Community Mental health services.
- Ensure high-quality medical care for patients in Te Toka Tumai.
- Contribute to the strategic workplan of the medical workforce within adult mental health services.
- Participate in directorate-wide leadership activities as part of the senior leadership group of Kahui O te ihi.
Requirements
- Vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Highly experienced and respected clinician.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and clinical governance.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
