Job Description

This part-time role involves working as a team member in reception and assisting with administration and accounts. The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of additional Saturday work on occasion. There may also be opportunities to cover sick and annual leave.

Responsibilities

  1. Patient Greeting and Check-in: Provide a warm welcome to patients and manage their check-in process efficiently.
  2. Phone Calls and Emails: Respond to patient inquiries, provide information, and offer support as needed.
  3. Scheduling Appointments: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient use of resources.
  4. Patient Records Management: Maintain confidentiality and manage patient records accurately.
  5. Medical Billing and Debt Management: Assist with medical billing and debt management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  6. Administration and Accounting Support: Provide administrative and accounting support as required by the practice.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical or healthcare setting, preferably in a reception or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 office software and Medtech or a similar practice management system.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
