Job Description

The role of Education Sector Business Development Professional involves working closely with larger education customers, including primary, intermediate, and secondary schools in the Canterbury/North Canterbury region. Your key responsibilities will include retaining and growing existing customers within your portfolio, building strong relationships through multi-tiered engagement, and identifying new opportunities to create customised solutions for their requirements.

You'll be responsible for ensuring sales and gross profit targets are met by developing and executing sales plans in alignment with OfficeMax's sales strategy. Proactively managing and growing the sales pipeline while collaborating with internal stakeholders and knowledge experts to optimise portfolio performance and new business conversions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience working in a Business-to-Business environment
  • Knowledge and experience gained within the Education sector
  • Successful record of gaining new business and customers
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier and customer negotiations
  • Track record of working in matrix team structures
  • Commercial, logistics, and problem-solving skills
  • Sustainability and Health, Safety, and Welfare (HS&W) champion
