Explore limitless opportunities across 5000 hotels in over 100 countriesParticipate actively in initiatives to build a more inclusive and sustainable worldAnd many more benefits and perks: Our objective is simple: make you grow and give you the spark to unleash your personalityJob DescriptionOversee the effective and efficient running of operations and the provision of all services within the Conference department.Ensure a consistently high level of service is delivered at all times.Handle incoming calls, analyse client needs, prepare quotes, negotiate and close sales, ensuring professional and prompt follow-up.Apply the hotel's pricing and commercial policies to maximise departmental turnover.Keep up-to-date records of all events and conferences, managing the database and tracking enquiries and business.Assist with the marketing of the hotel and its functions, including social media management.Ensure the proper distribution of conference work sheets weekly and share relevant information with all departments.QualificationsSome experience in event planning, hospitality, or a similar role.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Proactive, sales-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.Strong social media and marketing skills.Ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver excellent customer service.Additional InformationWhat do you get from us?Annual Salary £28,148.64Pension SchemeTraining & DevelopmentAdditional holidays with serviceInternational Development OpportunitiesAnd more: recommend a friend scheme; Employee Advisory Service; Childcare Vouchers;Of course you also want to know what it's like to work at Mercure London Bridge?
