My client, a leader in the medical technology space, is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team in New Zealand.Are you a proactive problem-solver with outstanding communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service? In this role, you'll deliver high-quality technical support, ensuring the reliability of life-changing equipment for healthcare providers. You'll enjoy significant autonomy, traveling across the country, managing your own schedule, and building strong relationships with clients. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, are solutions-oriented, and excel at managing challenging situations with professionalism, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities:Perform on-site technical repairs and preventative maintenance on cutting-edge medical equipment.Deliver responsive and effective technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.Take full ownership of your territory, including scheduling, booking travel, and accommodation.Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.Provide technical support on site with your clients, troubleshooting issues as they arise.Manage individual inventory, conduct cycle counts, and maintain accurate stock records.Identify and escalate gaps in processes or procedures, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Participate in training programs to stay updated on technical requirements and best practices.Support and contribute to maintaining compliance with quality standards such as ISO 13485 and AS/NZS 3551.Role Requirements:3+ years previous experience as a field service engineer for complex / technical productsProficient in managing and using hand, power, mechanical, and electrical tools.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective external client relationships.Effective time management and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) and adapt to a dynamic schedule.A logical, analytical approach to identifying and resolving issues.Ability to learn and apply new systems and processes efficiently.Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 13485 or similar) is an advantage.Proficiency with basic computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).What's in It for You?A competitive salary package, including a base salary, car allowance, bonus contingent, and KiwiSaver contributions.Extensive autonomy and trust, managing your schedule and travel plans with a company card.Initial training in head office, offering hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.You'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on healthcare.
