He angitutanga: The OpportunityIn the role of Kia Ora te Whanau Programme Manager, you will lead and oversee Te Waka Kerewai projects that focus on the wellbeing of tamariki and their whanau. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Kia Ora Tamaki Makaurau business plan initiatives, delivering tangible outcomes for Maori communities across Tamaki Makaurau.You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of key programmes while driving systems change that improves whanau wellbeing in our libraries and community hubs.Purpose of this position:As Kia Ora te Whanau Programme Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee high-quality programme management for projects that promote Maori outcomes. This includes working closely with key stakeholders to deliver key business plan initiatives and projects while ensuring these projects are successfully managed and contribute to the wellbeing of Maori communities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and delivery of the Kia Ora te Whanau work programme across the department, ensuring alignment with Maori outcomes.Provide leadership for key projects such as the Kia Ora te Whanau hubs, driving systems change that improves whanau wellbeing in community hubs and libraries.Raise visibility of the Kia Ora te Whanau work programme, embedding a clear understanding of priorities, goals, and outcomes across the department.Work collaboratively with teams across the Community Wellbeing department to deliver integrated responses for Maori communities.Oversee contract development, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and that projects are delivered on time and within budget.He korero mou: About YouYou are an experienced and strategic Programme Manager with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes for Maori communities. With a deep understanding of te reo Maori and tikanga Maori, you have the ability to influence and inspire senior stakeholders, leading initiatives that create meaningful change. Your strategic thinking allows you to navigate complex projects effectively. Your leadership is guided by kaupapa Maori principles, uniting people around a shared vision and driving impactful, sustainable outcomes that advance the wellbeing and aspirations of Maori whanau and communities.This role is an opportunity to make a difference for Maori and to equally empower those in our Community Wellbeing sites to serve Maori in the best way possible.
