A team player who enjoys the hospitality industry and wants to further their career.From checking guests in/out, through to dealing with guest complaints, this varied position will require exceptional communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.
You will be confident in your decision making and have a strong focus on safety and security.This is a permanent, full time role based at Sudima Kaikoura Hotel.
The pay rate is $28 per hour with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.Responsibilities | Nga haepapaResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Directing and overseeing reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activitiesComplete Audit procedures and tasks, including running financial reports, investigate anomalies and complete any other end-of-night tasksCommunicate professionally and effectively with all hotel departments, teams, senior leadership and external stakeholdersCarry out regular security walks and check all areas of the hotel (quality and presence)Attend to any emergency issues including security, maintenance, fire or evacuationPlanning and supervising bar, restaurant, function and conference activitiesOverseeing accounting and purchasing activitiesEnsuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulationsMay provide guests with local tourism information, and arrange tours and transportationEnsure a smooth check in and check out process whilst on shift and ensure VIP guests are acknowledged appropriatelyDrive revenue, budgets and financials through logical, smart decisionsRequirementsAbout you | Ko koe teneiWe seek team members with a great attitude.
