This part-time role will be responsible for delivering the organisation's end-to-end payroll processes and ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
This role is apermanent 0.5 FTE position working either 3 days on payroll weeks, and 2 days on non-payroll weeks, or 4 days on payroll weeks, and 1 day on non-payroll weeks.
There is also some flexibility in the daily start/end times for the role.The successful applicant will be responsible for:Ensuring prompt processing and payment of salaries to all employees on a fortnightly basisAccurate calculation, processing and input of payroll data to our payroll system (Pay Global & Humanforce)Ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and regulationsMaintaining and updating of all employee records to ensure accurate paymentProviding advice to staff and managers on all matters pertaining to PayrollNga pukenga e hiahiatia / Skills you'll bring to the role:Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll or similar roleUnderstanding of payroll legislation, regulations, and best practicesExperience with interpreting individual and collective agreementsProficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levelsAbility to work under pressure and to meet deadlinesNga Awhina moku / Benefits you will enjoy:Permanent Part-Time position, 0.5 FTEWork life balance and flexibility in your roleSupportive and engaging team cultureFree on-site parking in Ponsonby area, ease of transport linksMercy Hospice is an industry leader and has been delivering specialist palliative care for over 40 years.
