The BlockchainNZ association is seeking a part-time Executive Director to develop and grow the community. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead initiatives that engage our members, foster connections, and create value within our future-focussed community.Your day-to-day work will be challenging and varied, including:Engaging with Members: Meet with our diverse members to understand their needs and inspire active participation in our thriving community.Creating Connections: Organize exciting networking events, craft a captivating monthly newsletter, and produce insightful website articles that keep our members informed and connected.Facilitating Collaboration: Coordinate member working groups and occasionally lead submissions that advocate for our community's interests.Reporting Success: Prepare and present engaging reports on membership, financials, and more to our Executive Council, showcasing our growth and achievements.About the IndividualWe are seeking an energetic individual with a flair for community management and project management. Your strategic mindset and understanding of the New Zealand and global blockchain landscape will be key to your success. You should have:Proven experience in community and government engagement, with a knack for resource coordination.A talent for driving collaboration among diverse stakeholders on impactful initiatives.A curious and inquisitive nature, thriving in challenging environments and adept at turning complex problems into actionable solutions.More informationThe role is a fixed term contract to 31 March 2025 and may be extended an additional 12 months at that point depending on the success of the role.The role is part-time, for on average 24 hours or the equivalent of 3 days a week.This time is flexible across the week (Monday-Friday), however we would work with the candidate to identify certain days or hours that work best for them if they'd prefer to allocate certain times.About BlockchainNZBlockchainNZ is a community within the NZTech Group, 15 leading tech associations that work together to help connect their members, promote the importance of technology for New Zealand and improve the environment to enable growth, exports, job creation and positive tech policy.BlockchainNZ has 80+ members, runs 20+ member events a year, a monthly newsletter, podcast series, working groups and regular comms. The group is working to help New Zealand become a global hub for blockchain innovation.
