We have an exciting opportunity for youAbout the RoleWe are seeking an Accounts/Administration Manager to provide essential financial and administrative support for a New Zealand-owned hospitality business.
While based in Christchurch, you will be supporting a North Island-based company that is actively involved in the hotel sector.
Prior experience in hospitality accounting is an advantage but not essential.This role is integral to ensuring the financial health and administrative efficiency of a busy hotel, bar, and restaurant.
You will report directly to both the General Manager and the Finance Manager, maintaining daily accounting processes, controls, and administration functions.
While remote in nature, regular collaboration with the on-site General Manager and Heads of Departments will be required.What We Offer:The chance to be part of a visionary team restoring a recently acquired hotel to its rightful place as the premier accommodation and food & beverage provider in the region.A supportive and professional work environment where your contributions make a tangible impact.Autonomy and flexibility in a role that requires both independent initiative and teamwork.Opportunities to grow within the hospitality industry, with exposure to hotel operations and management.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivables, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with accounting standards.Managing administrative tasks to support hotel operations, including payroll coordination and reporting.Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and budgeting in collaboration with the Finance Manager.Liaising with the General Manager and Heads of Department to support efficient hotel and restaurant operations.Providing guidance and recommendations to improve processes, efficiency, and financial performance.What We're Looking For:Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration.Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with remote teams.Hospitality industry experience (preferred but not essential).A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Be Part of Something SpecialOur company is committed to genuine care—for our guests, employees, and community.
