Teltrac is a leading nationwide Digital Infrastructure and Technology Solutions Provider that was established in 1991. The depth of capabilities and services offered by Teltrac is vast and bespoke for each client from audio visual and digital signage to security, access control and CCTV through to structured cabling and fibre systems and building automation.Due to Teltrac's growth in the region, we're looking for a Lead Technology Technician with a great attitude based in Auckland to help build Teltrac's newest branch and service the wider Auckland Region. In this role you will have the unique opportunity to help grow a new branch by working in a great team and foster a rapport with our clients.Reporting to the Auckland Regional Manager, you'll be instrumental in delivering services for our clients with the good work we're known for. The successful applicant will be a good communicator and be able to form strong relationships with the operational team, staff, clients, and stakeholders, be able to work autonomously and have a lead from the front attitude with the goal to assist in Teltrac's growth in the region.You will be responsible for the lifecycle of our solutions we provide from project start to completion.The role will be 40 hours per week with additional overtime available at 1.5 times standard pay.Successful applicants will have the following attributes:Excellent project management skillsAbility to think outside the square3 Years + Experience in Structured Cabling InstallationSecurity or Audio-Visual Solutions preferred3 Years + Leading Installation Teams and/or Leading ProjectsWill be competent in working on Clients SitesWill be competent in both copper and fibre installationsCurrent NZ resident or NZ work visa preferredWhat we need from you:Great time management and the ability to work autonomouslyExperience in getting the best out of peopleExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external counterpartsDisplay effective leadership skills with a 'lead by example' attitudeDisplay professionalism in all aspects of your workEmbody our values of Trust, Respect, Attitude & CollaborationRole Description:You will be responsible for leading teams and/or projects as well as maintenance, troubleshooting and implementing technology systems, such as Structured Cabling & Fibre Systems, Security, Audio Visual, Building Controls and Networking Hardware.Tasks Include:Installation and servicing of some or all of the following:Structured CablingFibre SystemsSecurity (CCTV, Access Control, Alarms, Intercoms)Audio VisualBuilding ControlsNetworking Hardware (Switches, Servers, WAP's, UPS's)Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installedScoping projects to assist the sales team with accurate pricingDocumentation of installed hardware to ensure accurate as-built information is providedBenefits include:Opportunity to be part of a high-performing teamVehicle and phoneCompetitive remuneration packageDiscretionary company bonusOther Company BenefitsIs this you?If this sounds like you, then we would like to hear from you.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Technology Technician?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?Have you worked in a role which requires fault finding experience?
