This is a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges, and it's an exciting opportunity if you have a passion for property with the tenacity to learn and succeed.ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is an entry-level Property Management position, learning all aspects of Property Management functions. Working closely with the Property Management team, you will provide cover by taking over portfolios when the Office Manager is on leave and executing leasing on new management properties.ABOUT YOU: You will work closely with the Business Owner and Office Manager who are focused on growing this part of the business.As the role of a Property Manager Assistant is very demanding, your key responsibilities will include:Have a professional mindsetGrowing portfolioAssist Property Managers with managing Healthy Homes updates and any new legislation moving forward.Administration functions when required; assist in addressing and promptly resolving questions and requests from tenants.Create and distribute marketing for the Property Management Team.Process applications, credit checks, and call references to assist Property Managers.Conduct open inspections, and perform incoming, outgoing, and periodic inspections to assess the condition of properties and report any problems or issues to Property Managers.Manage rent arrears and outstanding water rates invoices, ensuring timely collection from tenants.Manage repairs and maintenance of rental properties.Facilitate effective communication between tenants, landlords, and tradespeople.Assist with tribunal applications and hearings.Assist in relief of property portfolio when Property Managers are on leave.This is a full-time role from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm - Monday to Friday.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: The successful candidate is likely to be a well-spoken, team player who is well-presented, pleasant, and well-mannered. If you are extremely organized and focused, highly motivated, looking for growth, and want to be rewarded for superior performance, you must be a self-starter, organized, and have great attention to detail.
