We are currently seeking a Council Contract Coordinator to join our growing team. Using your skills and great attitude you will have the opportunity to learn, grow and develop within our great team. In this role you will bring operational understanding, showcasing your exceptional administration and customer service skills. You will be responsible for assisting with coordinating the Council contract for collection of refuse, recycling and food waste in the Central/West Auckland area. This 12-year contract covers approximately 80,000 households.
We are looking for someone who will ensure a customer-centric approach, enhancing the customer experience and achievement of contractual KPI's, while coordinating with drivers daily. You will assist in maintaining and maximising route efficiencies and also assist with daily run checking & dispatching. Daily tasks will also include liaising with Auckland Council, resolving customer complaints, providing customer feedback on issues and dealing directly with Council's representative with regards to contractual requirements. We prefer candidates who have some background in transport or logistics, but we are willing to train the right person. This position is key in supporting the business.
Our ideal candidate would have the following:
Qualification in Business, Logistics or related field is preferred
Self-motivated and works to strict deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong administration and computer skills with attention to detail
Strong relationship builder and team player
Route optimisation experience preferable
Previous relevant experience in a similar environment/role is preferable
