Job Title: Official Information Act Adviser Role type: Permanent full-time Location: Wellington CBD General Salary Range D/E - $85,302 to $115,691 depending on skills and experience Korero mo te Turanga - About the Role We are looking for a Senior Adviser to join our Official Information Act (OIA) team who are responsible for the management of the Ministry's OIA, Privacy Act, and Ombudsman correspondence.
The Senior OIA Adviser is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practice which support Official Information Act, Privacy Act, and Ombudsman requests and correspondence for MPI, risk management and issues as well as identify and implement ways of building OIA servicing capability In this role you will be preparing information and responses to requests for information for publication on MPI's website, within the requirements of organisational policy with consideration to relevant legislation.
This includes coordinating contributions from across the organisation to ensure that responses are on-time, consistent and of high quality.
You also assist the Manager OIA by providing quality assurance, peer support, coaching and technical advice to colleagues, and business planning and partnering advice.
Mou - About You You will be an energetic self-starter with a reputation for working effectively across an organisation to get things done.
Your good understanding of the machinery of Government, good written communication skills and sound judgement will ensure you can confidently provide advice to key decision-makers within the Ministry.
To be successful in this role you will have: * Experience responding to OIA requests and advising on the application of the OIA, particularly with large and complex requests * Superior communication and writing skills * Be able to work well under pressure and to tight timeframes * Experience effectively multitasking and problem solving * Government or administration experience.

Seniors and Principal all located in Wellington all working across a broad range of topics.
