Job DescriptionThe opportunityAs a Learner Services Support, you will play a key role in the Apprentice Hub, helping apprentices in electrical, plumbing, and PGDR (Plumbing, Gas, Drainlaying, and Roofing) trades navigate their learning journeys. This role supports apprentices from their first orientation to successful program completion, ensuring excellence through proactive engagement, query resolution, and coordination with field and learning teams to enhance the apprentice experience.
Key responsibilitiesAdministration Support - Support apprentice inquiries and resource needs, track on-job assessments, and ensure all qualifications and licenses are resolved before completion.Reporting - Monitor apprentice progress, identify support needs, and prepare reports for appraisals, block courses, and escalations as required.Stakeholder Management - Build relationships and maintain clear communication with internal teams to ensure apprentices are fully supported in their learning journey.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll bringKnowledge: Familiarity with the New Zealand apprenticeship framework, especially in electrical or PGDR trades, is a plus.Customer Service: Experience in a help desk or customer service role, handling a range of queries.Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAMS, SELMA, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams and apprentices.Attention to Detail: High accuracy and the ability to manage data from multiple sources.Empathy and Approachability: A genuine interest in supporting apprentices and a solution-oriented mindset.At Skills, our culture is built on our values of Joy, Manaakitanga, Collab, and Bold.
