This is a big role, supporting a very busy group, and is not for the faint hearted
In return you'll work at the centre of a proactive and innovative council that is focused on making a difference in the community.
Due to the nature of the role, this role is full time, based around normal office hours and predominantly office based.Your responsibilities will include:Providing high-level support to the General Manager and the wider Policy, Planning & Regulatory Services leadership teamFull diary management of the General Manager's schedule, including prioritising and organising events and meetings and compiling briefing material dailyBeing the General Manager's key point of contact, face to face, via email and over the phone with stakeholders, ensuring responses meet deadlinesManaging Local Government Official Information Management Act (LGOIMA) requests for the PPRS groupPreparing, managing and reviewing communication and correspondence to a high standard of accuracy and qualityResearching and preparing reports and presentationsEstablishing and maintaining effective systems for document management and providing exceptional administrative assistance with documents, presentation material and project coordinationPlanning and organising events such as meetings, presentations or special projectsGeneral overview of budgets/finance processesAbout you: This busy role needs someone who is calm under pressure, who leads with initiative, is agile and efficient at dealing with a large volume of work in a confident and empathetic manner.We're looking for someone who:Has several years' experience working in a busy executive assistant position, ideally at a senior levelHas successfully worked in a fast-paced environment with a flexible can-do attitudeHas excellent skills in relationship management with a wide range of stakeholdersRelishes variety, and is deadline drivenBrings a high level of customer service ethosDisplays a highly confidential and professional demeanourIs an excellent writer and communicatorWhat you need to do now: Come and join our supportive team and be part of our welcoming and engaging environment.
