About the opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic Strategy team. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a focus on pricing, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven pricing strategies, optimising pricing models, and delivering insights that support revenue growth and profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of pricing structures, market trends, and business analytics to help shape and execute pricing initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy & Analysis:
Develop and maintain pricing models and strategies to optimise profitability
Analyse market trends, competitive pricing, and customer data to recommend price adjustments
Support product and service pricing decisions with data-driven insights
Data Collection & Reporting:
Gather and analyse data from multiple sources (sales, finance, customer feedback, etc.) to evaluate pricing effectiveness
Provide regular reports on pricing performance, including key metrics, trends, and pricing anomalies
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
Work closely with product, sales, marketing, and finance teams to understand business objectives and align pricing strategies
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to ensure alignment between pricing strategies and business goals
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline pricing processes and improve efficiency
Implement pricing governance and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Based in North Sydney you'll join a close knit, experienced team who are passionate about providing outstanding service and results to clients across a range of industries. You'll have the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and be nurtured and supported by your team and manager.
Skills and experience:
3+ years of experience in business analysis, pricing strategy, or a similar analytical role within media and advertising, with strong business acumen and market understanding.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, with excellent financial modeling, scenario analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI, with attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation and reporting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, demonstrating critical thinking and a keen focus on results.
Proactive team player with a can-do attitude, eager to learn and grow in the dynamic media industry.
