If your experience looks a little different from what we have outlined and believe you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from youTo be successful in this role you will bring:Ability to use robust knowledge of procurement principles and practices within the NZ public service to support delivery of projects and build effective relationships with stakeholders (high).Experience and ability finding mutually acceptable solutions or outcomes between parties or stakeholders that have differing priorities and/or drivers (high).Experience developing and contributing towards principles-driven procurement processes and policies that build a culture of collaboration and innovation.Understanding and appreciation of cultural issues and concerns, in particular Tikanga Maori.Working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of Te Tāhū o te Ture.Mō mātou / About usAt Te Tāhū o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to working together for a fair and safe Aotearoa. It provides advice and manages efficient, value for money procurement practices for the Ministry, including advising and developing the Ministry's procurement strategy and policies in line with the Government Procurement Rules.The unit aims to optimise costs, ensure product and service quality, and to mitigate procurement-related risks. Our work spans the whole contract life cycle from the identification of needs through to the end of a service contract, or the end of the useful life and disposal of an asset.The Strategic Sourcing Team is responsible for the enterprise-wide sourcing strategy and activities.
