We're highly cross-functional and work across sales, marketing and a range of engineering disciplines.
As our Auckland-based Senior Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and closing new opportunities across multiple customer segments, including auto-distributors, commercial fleets and group home builders.
Evnex operates in a relationship-based sales environment, so you'll also be more than comfortable nurturing and building relationships with existing accounts.
This role will require occasional national travel, and a work-from-home environment until such time that an Auckland office is established.
An ability to work independently and have a self-starter mindset is essential.
Key responsibilities and skills: You're a natural hunter with a strong background in new business development.
The ability to systematically identify and prioritise target customers, while developing a strategic plan to approach them.
You have a high level of independence and are self-motivated, comfortable operating outside of a formal office environment.
The ability to prepare customised and articulate formal proposals.
A keen interest in technology and the ability to sell complex solutions across hardware, electrical installation services and SaaS.
Experience with modern CRM systems.
Provide leadership and mentoring to other members of the sales team, where appropriate.
Contribute positively to the team culture and embrace the company core values by demonstrating authenticity, fun, excellent customer service and an aptitude for growth.
Take an active role in our health and safety culture.
What we're looking for: With a strong sales background, the right candidate will enjoy building new relationships and getting out on the road.
You will be highly results-motivated and get a thrill out of hitting and exceeding targets.
A sharp mind and the ability to quickly interpret and translate technical information will be a useful skill.
You may be a good fit if you can demonstrate the following: At least 10 years of experience in a sales and business development role.
Experience in the automotive, fleet or group home builder sector.
Very strong interpersonal skills and a confident, articulate pitching ability.
A good listener who understands the customer before trying to sell.
A genuine interest in clean tech / renewables.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
