Monitoring the track
- Using signs to show people a warning
- Pulling people over and instructing them on how to drive better
- Using the speed levels to turn customers down when required
- Operating the secondary remote speed control
- Signalling a crash to oncoming karts
- Helping slow down the Karts at the end of a race
- Alerting the track manager to any unusual smells, noises or foreign items on the track (gas, oil, rubber)
- Fuel up the karts
- Starting Karts as necessary
- Helping to get children fitted with seats, pedals, speeds etc.
- Cleaning
- Dismantle engines, using hand tools, and examine parts for defects.
- Assist track staff or managers with occasional errands and repairs to company vehicles.
- Testing and inspecting engines to determine malfunctions, to locate missing and broken parts, and to verify repairs, using diagnostic instruments.
- Tuning and altering karts performance to get the fleet running at a high, consistent standard.
- Receive guidance and direction from Kris and working alongside him and management to maintain a high level of standards for the karts.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as magnetos, water pumps, gears, pistons, and carburetors, using hand tools.
- Perform routine maintenance/speed testing
- Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete.
- Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges.
- Replace motors.
- Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used.
- Show track marshals how to maintain equipment.
- Obtain problem descriptions and prepare cost estimates for repairs.
- Remove engines from equipment, and position and bolt engines to repair stands.
- Weld, grind, ream, rebore, and re-tap parts to obtain specified clearances, using a welder, grinders, lathes, taps, reamers, and boring machines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.15 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
