**The opportunity**

As part of our wider 3000+ organization, our Hamilton office of over 145 people from a range of engineering disciplines work out of our offices in the city centre. Our depth of experience and exciting office culture enables our people to impact and play a huge role in the day to day life of people in the Waikato, New Zealand and even internationally.

We are looking for an intermediate to senior-level Mechanical Engineer to join our diverse and talented Hamilton Industrial team who work across a range of sectors, where innovation and delivering the best for our clients are at the heart of every decision we make.

This is a varied role that will see you involved in:

- Partnering with our clients, to develop concept level, through to detailed design solutions for automated machinery, plant and equipment
- Being part of small, medium or large projects through all parts of a project lifecycle
- Working amongst motivated teams creating innovative solutions to real-world issues
- Challenging and seeking improvement on sustainability and community outcomes
- Working with Industrial 4.0 technologies to make complex problems and designs more intuitive and easier to interact with
- Developing and increasing the robustness of safety solutions in current operational sites
- Seeking opportunities to include smarter process solutions for a better world
- Short to long term assignments to industrial sites as part of site-based engineering teams, during the design and construction phases including regional New Zealand, New Caledonia and Indonesia.

**About you**

You love to learn and share knowledge and are someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You are a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a passion and good problem-solving skills. You have or are seeking to grow your technical design and project management experience through undertaking projects for and on our client's industrial sites. You will also have an enquiring mind and be able to problem-solve and think laterally. Whilst not essential**,** experience across either pulp & paper or food & beverage would be advantageous.
