**About this opportunity**

With a long history of delivering sustainable and innovative packaging solutions to some of the most well-known brands, Pact Packaging industrial products and packaging based in Hamilton is looking for an accomplished Account Manager. You will manage a balance of existing and valued customers with sales opportunities for Pact Packaging across the full life cycle of our products from concept to manufacture.

You are well known for your excellent communication and presentation skills and will bring deep experience in sustainable growth success. As a part of a solid team of likeminded professionals who have our customers and solution provision at the heart of everything we do, you will be able to develop lasting relationships, be flexible and strategic and are seeking the next step in your career. You will manage and lead the sales with a customer base which is quite technical and your ability to quickly grasp the technical aspects of the manufacturing process, its capability and constraints will be key to your success.

**Specifically you will**:

- Ensure that our customers are supported actively and with ongoing relationships in mind
- Conduct regular review meetings
- Identify and deliver on new opportunities and product sales strategies for processed foods
- Prepare and present reporting and analysis on business activity, performance against targets and market industry opportunities
- Support preparation and submission of proposals that deliver a competitive and valuable service offering for customers and our business
- Represent the customers "voice" within the business and ensure their excellent experience throughout PACT
- Identify sales training needs and participate in sales training programs as required
- Liaise with Quality Assurance and production for the external issue of specifications for customer approval
- Demonstrate Pact Values in all interactions and decision making processes

**Your skills and experience**

With a demonstratable track record in sales and account management and astute commercial acumen as well as practical experience in managing major accounts. You will also bring:

- Demonstrated commitment and belief of Safety in the workplace and working “Toward Zero Harm”
- Numerically savvy with an understanding of pricing, variable cost through to gross margin.
- Resilience with a strong desire to achieve, operational excellence and delivery of agreed growth objectives
- Strategic and collaborative approach that embeds and harnesses commitment to customer value and service excellence
- Entrepreneurial mindset, technical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes is highly beneficial

**Qualifications**:
Formal/Tertiary qualifications in Business/Finance or related discipline would be preferred
