The two year NZ Certificate in Skills for Living (including a strand in Skills for Working) programme provides vocational and community skills for people who require intensive support with their learning.
In addition you will participate in the marketing of the Skills for Living programme and be involved in student selection.
Empathy for students and knowledge and understanding of the disability sector essential.
Other important requirements include:
- Recent experience in supporting people living with lifelong disabilities, high and complex learning needs, communication difficulties and some behavioural challenges
- Teaching experience and/or qualification relevant to supporting people living with a disability
