An opportunity has arisen for a seasoned professional in the field of Plumbing, Gasfitting, and/or Drainlaying to join our Hawke’s Bay Lecturer Team. Reporting through to our Head of School Trades and Technology this role will lead with a strong focus on practical, hands-on education, to prepare their students for successful careers in a rapidly evolving workforce.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver high-quality lectures, workshops, and practical training sessions in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and/or Drainlaying.
- Develop and update curriculum to align with industry standards and emerging trends.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their growth and skill development.
- Provide clearly defined learning objectives and learning outcomes.
- Effectively facilitate the learning process through a wide variety of experiences and activities by encouraging students to participate in and accept responsibility for their learning.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching methodologies and resources.
- Undertake effective, valid and reliable evaluation of students and courses.
- Assess the performance of students and give appropriate feedback.
- Prepare and update appropriate curriculum for all courses in line with Academic Board requirements.
- Participate in the development of course materials.
- Participate in the ongoing development of new courses.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Must be able to provide a clear police and work with children’s check
- Relevant trade qualifications and industry experience in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and/or Drainlaying.
- Teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
