Nursing Lecturers

The appointing salary for this role will be negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.

The Nursing Lecturer is based in our School of Nursing | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Head of School, Nursing and will be responsible for:

- **Course Development**: Participate in curriculum development, update course materials, and contribute to new course creation.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Develop and moderate student assessments, ensuring reliability and validity.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work with the teaching team, provide academic guidance to students, and liaise with programme coordinators.

**He kōrero mōu| About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- **Educational Background**: Registered Nurse with a current Nursing Council of New Zealand practising certificate and a Bachelor of Nursing (essential); Master of Nursing or equivalent postgraduate qualification (desirable).
- **Experience**: Extensive nursing practice experience and current practice as a Registered Nurse; tertiary teaching experience in nursing is desired.
- **Skills**: Highly developed oral, written, computing, and interpersonal skills, along with proven organizational and planning abilities.
- **Cultural Competence**: Understanding and commitment to cultural safety and creating a culturally sensitive environment.
