They are looking for motivated Account Managers / Key Account Managers with a background in Food Technology and Sales to join their Food & Nutrition team and take responsibility of food sales and account management of their B2B customers.

**About Role**:
Manage a portfolio of the company's well-established food and nutrition clients. Collaborate with experienced Food Technicians on various customer projects to deliver technical advice, excellent customer service and the achievement of the customers goals.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of customers, markets, and trends to identify actionable insights
- Proactively manage and develop existing and new customer relationships
- Ensure a pipeline of sales opportunities by expanding the customer’s product portfolio, and by identifying opportunities to up/cross-sell
- Strategic sales and project planning around customers short and long-term requirements
- Identify and translate customer needs into viable product development opportunities
- Explore new projects and new campaigns that create value for key customers
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, and contracts
- Market analysis to understand competitors, their products, their strategies and where you can compete.
- Maintain a customer call cycle, occasional travel involved outside Auckland

**About You**:

- 2+ years’ of B2B commercial sales experience in the food industry ideal
- Qualifications in Food Technology or a related discipline
- A driven self-starter with a strong desire for success
- Results driven, have strong solutions-based selling skills
- Able to demonstrate high level relationship management skills, ensuring proactive, resolution-oriented customer contact
- An intuitive, creative, out of the box thinker
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build credibility and trust and add value to customer partnerships
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
