We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland

**Starship Community** provides multidisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whānau living within the Auckland DHB area. Our nursing, allied health and technical staff deliver health care services to children, young people, and their whānau in their home, school and community settings. A part of this service is the Hearing & Ear Health team consisting of our talented Audiologists; Newborn Hearing Screeners, Ear Nurses and Vision and Hearing Testers.

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

A role has become available for an enthusiastic Vision Hearing Technician to join the Child Health Team at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide Hearing and Vision Screening services for children in the pre-school, school, family home and other community settings. You'll maintain accurate records and documentation, including the upkeep of accurate results into a database and ensuring the care of equipment.

We have permanent part-time or full-time roles available. Qualified Vision Hearing Technicians are encouraged to apply, however we will train you.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Hold a clean, current and full NZ driver’s license
- Have paediatric experience
- Bring with you a strong technical aptitude
- Have excellent communication skills both written and verbally
- Be capable of working both independently and within a team
