The Hearing House is a not-for-profit organisation transforming the lives of children and adults with hearing loss who have cochlear implants. We support clients and their whānau in the region spanning from Kaitaia to Taupō. The Hearing House offers a supportive people-focused culture where our team's purpose is to enable all people with hearing loss to hear, communicate and participate in society to their full potential.

**About the Role**

We are looking for an experienced speech language therapist or hearing therapist (2+ years' experience) with a special interest in working with adults who have cochlear implants.

The purpose of this role is to provide speech and language therapy / aural rehabilitation to our clients with hearing loss and to manage the clinical caseload to support people to reach their full potential. The position will be working with our adult caseload and as caseloads vary, you may be required to support clients of varying ages. This may include adults and children.

This role would be a combination of in clinic and outreach across the North Island; in house training will be provided.

You will be responsible for assessment, programme planning and intervention utilising your skills in SLT practise and auditory training knowledge gained through training, to support your caseload.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Completing and writing assessment reports
- Planning and setting suitable individualised programmes
- Providing therapy in individual therapy sessions, tele-therapy, group settings and consultative services
- Supporting and coaching adults and their families and other professionals to enable them to achieve the best outcomes for hearing
- Home and off-site visits; including out of Auckland outreach clinics
- Maintaining clinical records to a high standard
- Working effectively with diverse people including people with a range of additional needs in addition to hearing loss
- Demonstrating passion, commitment and empathy in all aspects of your work
