**The Health Care Assistant will work with a Starship Community Nurse Vaccinator in a new programme to increase access to childhood vaccinations in community settings with a special emphasis on supporting Māori Tamariki and whānau.**

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We work in partnership with tamariki and their whānau acknowledging their uniqueness, right to quality healthcare, optimal health outcomes and quality of life.

From July 2024 the role will include supporting the Starship Community immunisation programme in schools. After gaining experience with this programme there will be an opportunity to train to become an authorised Vaccinating Health Worker in school settings.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- NZQA Level 3 Qualification in Health and Wellbeing
- Current and clean full New Zealand Driving License
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori Tamariki
