With increasing health demand and constrained capacity, and in line with the Health Reform, we are transforming our health system to achieve more equitable health outcomes for our populations.
In partnership with commissioners and clinical and operational leaders, you will actively engage with Māori Whānau, Hapū, Iwi and service providers (community and hospital) to develop innovative and mana-enhancing approaches to service delivery across the continuum of health care settings. We are looking for someone passionate about equity to provide leadership and facilitation to ensure the Hospital Network Programme retains focus on achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori at all stages of planning, development, and delivery.
Our ambitious Hospital Network programme will make the best use of our three hospital sites which aligns with the move to Te Whatu Ora. The programme is:

- Developing long-term Master Site Plans for each campus;
- Addressing immediate capacity constraints in emergency department, beds and theatres;
- Establishing services and models of care that deliver equitable health outcomes and make best use of resources, working within the model of a single integrated service delivered across multiple locations. Mō tō mātou rōpū ' About our team

The Hospital Network programme is a core component of this transformation, determining and delivering the network of services and infrastructure we need to meet the health needs of our local communities and be an effective regional complex care provider of tertiary services.

- Achieve equitable population health outcomes;
- Deliver contemporary models of care that provide high quality and safe patient-centred care;
- Make the most effective use of resources ' staff, buildings, and equipment ' for clinical and financial sustainability; and

You are passionate, optimistic and pragmatic about leading change to get to a future that delivers Better for our communities. Working within a dynamic environment you will be adaptable while also able to maintain structure.
You are a skilled influencer who has a background in supporting change that leads to improved outcomes for Māori and whānau. You have a facilitative leadership style and are able to challenge with respect and support new ways of thinking. You are self-reflective and are able to contribute as part of a high-performance team.
You have a detailed knowledge of, and commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and experience in how to bring these principles to life in a health context. You have experience building high-trust relationships with Tāngata Whenua. You have knowledge of, and competency with, matauranga Māori and tikanga.
A health practitioner qualification is highly desirable, and an understanding of the lived reality of the challenges and opportunities to deliver services that better meet the needs of the community.
